It took Blue several minutes to turn her gaze away from the monitor, too reluctant to believe the scene she'd just witnessed to risk missing the moment when it all was proven to be a farce. However, no such thing came into view, and only images of her beloved demoness -her wife, her Chi- bending over in repulsion to empty her stomach contents were shown instead--which only added to her own indecisiveness.

Meanwhile, Vespera had just received Carlos into her office, and was now giving him instructions in regards to the Government files she'd previously asked him to hide in the Checkpoints.
"Very well," she started, flipping through a folder a she did. "It's not much what can be transferred in order to make it look like 'accidental' discoveries from the side of our demon girl, but it should do for what we want to do," she said, and Carlos furrowed his brow at her in response.

Snarling in some untranslatable language, the Holers planned how to deal with their cowering prey.
"What do you think they're saying?" wondered Leah.
"I don't know but I think we ought to run away! Let's get up and out of here!" answered Chi loudly, turning back towards the upward staircase and trotting upwards. Leah ran up as well, and the Holers gave chase. But Chi's condition caught up with her. Too much fast movement left her short of breath. Leah overtook her, and two floors on Chi came up the stairs panting.

"Ah Mr. Taj! Just the person I was looking for. Now about your testimony-" The blue dragon towered over the little chameleon fox.
"Nah'Yair I'm not going to testify."
"Excuse me?"
"Neither will the twins or Pants and Roach." Chigi continued, swallowing nervously. Nah'Yair scowled.
"You're not doing anyone any good by protecting him. You realize that right?"
"I'm just returning the favor."
Nah'Yair stood there dumbfounded, the little rat had done nothing to deserve this kind of loyalty. "You do realize Mr. Taj if all of you refuse to testify, we barely have a case. It's not likely we'll be able to convince a jury to convict.
